Tavis Pinnington lives and works in Melbourne, Australia as a Filipino/Australian director of photography. His work ranges from short form narrative, music videos and commercials, working with brands such as Superdry, YD Australia, Champion and Vogue Philippines. More recently, he has expanded into feature films. His first feature film, Anak (director Caleb Ribates) premiered at the 70th Melbourne International film festival with a lot of acclaim and went on to win Silver at the Australian cinematographers society awards.
Tavis is committed to diversity, valuing his Filipino-Australian heritage. He actively seeks to bring underrepresented voices to the forefront, both in front of and behind the camera.
Currently, Tavis is in pre-production for two feature films set to shoot in 2024, marking the next phase of his journey.
